Boy, 2, dies of gunshot wound to head
By Joelle Farrell
INQUIRER STAFF WRITER
A 2-year-old boy shot at his Chester home early Sunday died today at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Terrence Webster, known by his neighbors at the Chester Apartments on West Ninth Street as "Lil Pop" for his love of Pop-Tarts and popsicles, was shot in the head sometime after 2 a.m. Sunday morning. His parents were just coming home when shots rang out, putting two holes in the front door, neighbors said.
Terrence's mother, Tisheta Green, 25, of the 1200 section of the housing development, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The boy's father, Thomas Webster, 26, was shot in the hand. Both were treated and released from Crozer-Chester Medical Center Sunday.
Police have not said if they have anyone in custody for the crime. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Patrick Mullen at 610-447-7813 or Det. Michael Palmer of the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division at 610-891-4700 or the Chester City Anonymous Tip Line at 610-447-7810.
Neighbors plan to hold a barbecue benefit Tuesday beginning around noon. They plan to sell hot dogs and other food to raise money for Green, who has two more young sons.
"Any donation, even a quarter would help," said a man who asked to be identified only as "Tate," who lives next door to Green and said he was Terrence's godfather. "There's violence everywhere but I mean, enough is enough. Certain things just never should happen."

Tragic.
The perpetrator should hang from the neck outside the courthouse until dead, then swing there for a while as a deterrent to others......

Too bad the family was unable to defend themselves.
The murderer deserves nothing less than a guillotine.

Nope.
As further detailed in the second story:
Webster was returning home with his parents, Tisheta Green, 25, and Thomas Webster, 26, and his 4-year-old brother, Thomas "T.J." Webster Jr., to their apartment in a public-housing development on 9th Street about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when a gunman ambushed the family.
Powell said that the four were able to escape gunfire outside of the home and get inside, but when the unidentified gunman shot two bullets through the door, one of them struck Thomas Webster in the hand and then hit Terrence in the head.
The other bullet struck Green in her left leg, police and family said. Friends said that Green didn't know she was shot until after she arrived at the hospital, cradling her bleeding son in her arms.
The only member of the family to escape physically unharmed was T.J., Powell said.

Sad! I pray for the boy and his family. I hope they catch the individual(s) responsible and they get what they deserve.

Hope we get to see them go down hard on The First 48. Sadly, they will never get what they ACTUALLY deserve.

That is terrible. I wonder if any of the survivors had a beef with someone? I hope not that would be a terrible guilt to live with.
I hope the guilty party gets what he/she deserves without much taxpayer expense.

Sad story, I hope justice rings loud and clear.

Horrible story. Have to ask "Why?"
