WEST VALLEY CITY -- A woman who police say stole two cars and led them on a chase all while she was naked is now in jail. West Valley City officers stopped her with a Taser.
The 31-year-old woman from Kearns was booked Tuesday evening after getting a mental evaluation.
This was certainly an unusual call for West Valley City officers. They say it's laughable now, but mostly, they're just happy no one was seriously injured.
A man was pulled over, posting business signs on the side of the road. Sylvina Beagley pulled up next to him and got out of her car.
"Unique thing about that was that, uh she was not wearing any clothes," McLachlan said.
Then she decided to steal his car, driving north toward West Valley City.
The man jumped into her abandoned car and followed Beagley, while dialing 911.
At 5300 South, she crashed into a gate on ATK property and ran. Officers eventually caught up with Beagley, but they couldn't quite physically catch her.
"She did have blood on her body from the initial crash. She was hot and sweaty, dirty, and very slippery. She managed to escape the grasp of the two officers," McLachlan said.
And she was off again! This time she got into a squad car and drove away, only to crash into another gate, hit a burm and soar 50 feet in the air.
Beagley didn't stop there either. She ran from the totaled car and scaled a barbed wire fence.
Officers realized a Taser was necessary to stop her, and so it ended.
"It's an unusual story. It'll pique the interest of a lot of people," McLachlan said.
West Valley City officers say the man who had his car stolen initially is a concealed carrier and the gun was in his car. Luckily, Beagley never used it.
She's being held on two counts of stolen vehicles, felony fleeing and lewdness.

The gun the concealed carrier had was pretty useless in his car; he should've had it on his person. I'm also wondering if there would've been any liability issues if she had found his gun in the car and used it on anyone, would he be liable or held responsible some way since it is his responsibility to keep track of it? I know it sounds crazy but I'm sure crazier things have happened.
Well now she has some clothes, probably some orange ones...
Should this be under 'open carry'? Errrr, I guess she WAS carrying everything she had openly...

Absolutely, there would have been liability! There would have been liability for her injuring, or killing someone with the vehicle, seeing as he left it unattended with the keys in it (information gained years ago from LEO while delivering pizza, you cannot leave your car unattended with the keys in it) You better believe there would be liability for the gun!I'm also wondering if there would've been any liability issues if she had found his gun in the car and used it on anyone, would he be liable or held responsible some way since it is his responsibility to keep track of it? And what was she on?!? I wouldn't be able to walk after jumping a car 50 feet, and most certainly wouldn't be in any shape to climb a barbed wire fence, especially Nude!~

There is also some liability on the part of the PD for the theft of the patrol vehicle.

So he left his car either running or with the keys in it as well as leaving the gun in his car. They should revoke his permit. Another CC'er giving the antis fuel for their fire.
I would love to know what drug(s) this woman was on because if she wasn't she has some serious mental health issues.
Where are the mug shots?

Yes, the gun & car owner as noted above would have been found liable in a civil court.
He committed no crime so criminal charges would not be applicable, unless off body in car storage of guns is unlawful. Personally I do not understand why people do that as rather than carry on body.
As to the woman she was not on anything, she suffers from a bipolar condition.
