From the Spokane Police Dept Email news releases:Kudos to the clerk for having the balls to be prepared, drawing when it counts, and showing restraint.Attempted Armed Robbery At Shadle Pizza Pipeline
On 6/23/10 at approximately 9:44 pm, Spokane Police Officers responded to an armed robbery at Pizza Pipeline, located at 1724 W Wellesley.
Employees advised the suspect left the store and ran northbound. Officers quickly responded and set up containment in the area for the suspect.
Employees explained that a male entered the store, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. An employee who has a CPL (concealed pistol license) pulled his handgun out and told the suspect to drop his weapon. This scared the suspect and the suspect ran out of the store with no money.
Officer Braun found parts of the gun in the parking lot, which were consistent with a pellet gun.
Spokane Police conducted a K-9 search for the suspect. They checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a younger Caucasian male, approximately 5’9”, very thin, wearing jeans, a dark colored zip up sweater, light colored gloves and a green mask.

"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
+1 to the employee!!!!!
although he is lucky it was a pellet gun and the BG responded to voice commands...
Too bad the employee let this dirtbag reorganize for the next time...and there WILL be a next time.

Should have added large brown stain in the rear quadrant of his trousers!
This dirt bag will try again as soon as he gets himself cleaned up and re-composed.

Don't mean to hijack thread, but when I was having my home heating oil tank refilled, I noticed the driver/filler had a revolver tucked in his belt only partially hidden by his light jacket. I joked about how I didn't think filling fuel oil tanks was a dangerous job and he said that I would be surprised at how many times he prevented himself from being robbed and stiffed while delivering fuel oil in some of the more questionable neighborhoods.
I woulda went all Pulp Fiction on the dude...
Made em sit down, gently keep my 1911 trained on em, and talk to him with the F word every other word, and then made him collect his self and walk out the door. I bet he would never rob again.

The employee was able to stop the threat (thats the goal right?) without fireing a shot and avoided being sued by the "victims" family.
You and I were not there. We don't know the layout of the business or how many patrons were also in the place.
I say good job to CC'er for showing restriant and being ready for action when called upon.
