“The problem is a lot of guns end up in the hands of misguided youth,” he said.

Yep, the little perp is a "misguided youth." That awful gun made him do it. Another bunch of far left anti-gun blissninnies made their political statements.

I wonder if they have planned protests for the places of local auto sales...cars kill a lot of people, too.

    Idiots!

Mr. Misguided Youth needs to spend the rest of his 'thug wannabe' days in prison.

    "Misguided Youth"

Is that the PC term for "The Parents up"?

"The message of Saturday’s planned “peaceful protest with signs” is aimed at Hara for bringing the gun show into the community several times a year, said Donald Domineck, chairman of the Freedom Project, an outreach ministry of the Ethan Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church on Shiloh Springs Road."

Isn't ironic that someone that is the head of something called "Freedom Project" is begrudging Hara's freedom to legally bring a gun show to the community several times a year?

“The problem is a lot of guns end up in the hands of misguided youth,” he said. “That’s the tragic part. The kids have such easy access to these weapons.”

The tragic part is that the kids do not have an upbringing and a respect for the law and this parenting and moral integrity or lack thereof results in kids acquiring weapons; at 16 years old, he was fully aware of what he was doing not to mention the negligence as well as a violation of law that had taken place prior to all of this in order for this series of events to unfold.

"Police said the teen who shot Ronika had been showing off the handgun that day. There was some sort of confrontation with another juvenile, and the 16-year-old pulled the weapon from his pocket, according to witnesses. It discharged, striking the girl, who was standing next to the teen."

Note how this is written, "It discharged", etc. Did you see that? It's almost as if the juvenile with the gun was an innocent victim and that big mean o firearm out of its own depravity "discharged" all on it's own accord and shot another juvenile. Shouldn't this read more along the lines that a juvenile allegedly shot another juvenile with a firearm? To say "It discharged" seems to alleviate the juvenile of any or all responsibility. I may be knit picking on this point but at the same time I think there is at least a hint of validity to it.

How did a 16 yr old get the gun ? Let's start there. It was not the guns' fault. No more than it was the car's fault if he ran over someone in the parking lot because there was a "disagreement".

Oh, the poor boy may spend the rest of his life in prison... BYE ! ! !

There was some sort of confrontation with another juvenile, and the 16-year-old pulled the weapon from his pocket, according to witnesses.

Sounds like he deserves to be in prison, his stupidity cost someone their life. It was NOT an accident he had a loaded gun there and pulled it out.

Perhaps they should protest McDonalds? Obesity kills, right? Also, they should probably include their local bars since alcohol related deaths are pretty high up there too! Oh and don't forget to protest the stores that sell calendars and clocks, Time is a cruel mistress and will kill all who's path she crosses!

That's a lot of the problem in the media. For years they have personified weapons to make them look like an evil, out of control living thing. They kind of remind me of the "old hens" of the neighborhood that a lot of us have hanging around....They don't take the time to go do things on their own and worry about themselves. They just want to be right in the middle of what everyone else is doing and sit and talk about them and complain. And if it makes the story sound even better, they'll add the drama as they see fit. Sad thing is, a lot of the and others that are easily snowed, take the information from the media as the gospel.

They need to be spending their time trying to give some of the parents some child rearing skills so that these type of problems do not happen anymore.

My Dad used to be real good at getting my rear to understand the basic principles of life! Oh, but you can't do that anymore.
