    June 28, 2010 @ 11:25 PM

    The Herald-Dispatch

CANNONSBURG, Ky. -- A 17-year-old Grayson, Ky., resident was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm on school property and wanton endangerment after allegedly brandishing a firearm at Boyd County High School, according to a news release from the Boyd County Sheriff's Department.

The teenager got into a verbal argument over a soccer game at the school and is charged with pulling a handgun from his waist band. The game was not a high school soccer event, according to the release.

He reportedly pulled back the slide to change a shell and then pointed the gun at another person at the game, according to the release. He also reportedly waved the gun around while other people were walking nearby, according to the release. About 30 people, including small children, were in the area at the time, according to the release.

The juvenile was taken to the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center, according to the release

Lack of parenting would be my first guess, starting somewhere around age 3 and going down hill from there.

I say charge this young man as an adult.
End of story for him, which is sad.

Wow! I bet he gets at least a 3-day suspension, but at least he wasn't drawing pictures of guns...that could have landed him in some real hot water.
