    I'm afraid that the antis may try to use this saying that guns can go off without being touched by a person first. I can hear them now "A gun can go off by itself and hear is the story". Hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't put it past them.

    Maybe it was the mag WELL that was melting. You can't expect the media to know the difference. Kind of like we can't expect people writing laws about guns to know the difference between a barrel shroud and a "shoulder thing that goes up."
