As a former LEO, and an average nobody from nowhere, I simply can't imagine how this ding-dong thought he would actually get away with it.

Having been present when NUMEROUS firearms were destroyed, I can empathize with the desire to "save" them. I cannot, however, empathize with the desire to sell them illegally. If and when convicted, I hope he enjoys the, what, 1030 years he could get for the possession charges alone?
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
thats a long stretch!

That Project Safe Neighborhoods will ruin your day every time. This was a bad cop, worse...a 'supposed' leader. He's getting a loooooong, uncomfortable vacation.
