You see, guns aren't necessary at all. Just put a Starbucks on every street corner. Then post warning signs saying, "Beware of coffee!"
I just had another thought. That manager could have just opened himself to legal action if he did not warn the attacker about the "HOT" coffee.

I would not have hesitated to throw mine on someone while leaving the truck stop. It would have been an attention getter and a good place to start. I could not drink that stuff for a couple minutes, it would have to burn in the eyes.
