It didn't exactly look like she took him out. I work in retail too and we've always been told if they get physical to just let them go. It's not worth it to the companies to have to pay for medical treatment for their staff and potentially deal with lawsuits from the thief.

4 guys who value their jobs more than 2 dvds and some make up shoved in some junkie's purse. Walmart doesn't want to be sued. They're pretty strict about what they're loss prevent folks can and can't do.

Walmart and other corporations are all about minimizing (monetary) losses. But at what cost (cost in other ways)? What Walmart (for example) does ends up encouraging crime and evil. If the evil continues to grow, it has the potential of destroying our civilization and way of life. Is THAT part of their cost calculus?
Anti-gunners seem to believe that if we just pass enough laws, we can have utopia. Unfortunately, utopia is NOT one of our choices.
