    Thankfully no one was hurt....

Hmmm.... As a network admin for the last 10 years........ I can honestly say.... I have NEVER run into fixing a server that's been shot by a .45 .......

some tech is scrambling right now to get an old server out of storage for some spare parts....... they are just lucky he didn't shoot a switch or a router....

I have thought about shooting my computer and liquor was not involved at all. This guy might end up being a folk hero like the flight attendent who got fed up.

Many is the computer to which I've wanted to give a twelve-gauge reformatting...

I once worked in the refurbishing division of Philips (Magnavox, Sylvania, etc). One time a console TV (it's been a year or two since) that had been shot in the picture tube.

I just got a my large screen rear projection TV repaired. It was out of warranty and the price of the part was going to be $1,200 with another $200 labor but the manufacturer covered it as this model has had this problem with over 10% of the sets.

Had they not covered it I was planning of dragging the thing into the woods behind the house and having a big time shooting it to bits. I guess these electronic monsters just drive some of us over the edge!

Shot a server, eh? Making a false police report about a $100,000 crime of destruction?
I wonder how he's going to get his email from the judge?
