Cat saves owner from pit bull attack

A Texas woman has been saved from a savage pit bull attack by her pet cat.

39 year old Cherry Woods was set upon by two pit bulls May 21, and things were looking grim after her husband also failed to get the dogs off her. But that’s when Lima the cat came to the rescue by “scratching and hissing” at the dogs.

“Our cat came out of the bushes, and scratched one of the dogs and started hissing at it. They both turned their attention to the cat. I was able to grab my wife and pull her inside the house,” the husband told local media.

Wait a minute. I thought Pit Bulls were loving, family pets. All the dog owners told me so.
A Pit Bull attack? How strange.

I wonder what happened to the cat?

One of our cats does stand up to the neighborhood dogs and pushes them around

Lima (the cat) returned home unharmed to watch over Cherry as she recovered from her injuries. The dogs were put down, and their owner may face charges.

See.....cats can be cool too..... I have a big cat (see avatar) that won't even run from a dog.....we had a 120 pound Malamute and this cat was never even slightly scared. And because he was never scared, he never ran...so.....the dog never chased him ....... and they would just pal around all day..... All my other cats however, the dog wanted blood, he just could never catch them....lol

When I was a kid, my dog was the toughest dog on the block (everyone let their dogs run wild back then). However, there was mammoth tabby next door (picture Garfield on steroids) that collected dues from all of them.

It was really sad watching them cower when that cat walked by.

I have been put into the hospital by my house cat, an 11 pound black & white pound rescue who doubles as a throw pillow.

She objected to getting a shot at the vet, and filed her complaint. In my hand. With teeth. I apologized to her, and got 2 weeks of antibiotics for myself.

That was the cat afraid. I would not like to see my throw pillow angry.

My purebreed, he's ever worse. Vet had to shoot him twice with ketamine to get him to stop snarling and going insane. He's another mellow animal...when he wants to be (which is 99% of the time).

Pitbulls...you better win. If you don't...

    Hamburger. Dogs know it.

I recall reading a per pound strength factor one time. Humans were 1, bears were 2 and cats were 6. I don't recall a listing for dogs.
