Kane County deputy fatally shot near Fredonia, AZ

Has anyone been following this? This happened about 30 miles from me. TapRackBang is the local LEO in this city.

I was driving home from Flagstaff, yesterday afternoon, and was passed by 8 LEO, from 2 states and 3 counties...

The area he is hiding in has a lot of rock formations and caves. He apparently has supplies up there. My guess is like most cowards he will take his own life in those hills. Our folks are up there now looking for him. It is only a matter of time, but he has fired on other officers as well so they need to take it slow and carefully as he can easily set up sniper hides in those rocks.

he can run, but he can't hide.

I was alarmed when I saw all of the police activity, on my way home yesterday. People don't realize how remote and isolated the Arizona/Utah deserts are... I was concerned for my family; LEO responses are hampered a great deal by the terrain out here.

    Update:

Reward offered for suspect in deputy killing

There's a lot of people involved in this hunt. It's a big deal in a rural area like this.
