I don't think I'd obey the injunction to stay in my office with the door locked.
I'd be gone. They can call me when it's over.

If loose gun laws are good for criminals why do criminals support gun control?

I never side with BG's...but...I wonder what news he received about his mother or what stressers he had that made him bring a gun into the hospital an shoot a Dr.

Ultimately he made a choice and what's done is done. But this doesnt seem like your "thug gone wild" incident. I'm just mildly curious is all.

MD is a may issue state meaning unless you are important you can't get a CCW permit and there is no OC. Wonder how this could have happened.

...and importance is determined by how many fat rolls of currency you "donate" to various officials.

Another nut that will cause the ant-gun folks to do their rants. Seems the news media started the story as an assault rifle under his coat and the police shot him. Now it comes out he had a pistol tucked away, found and shot the doctor who he blamed for his mothers failed treatment, shoots his mother in the head and then killed himself before the police came into the rooms after him.

BALTIMORE — A man who became distraught as he was being briefed on his mother's condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital pulled a gun and shot the doctor Thursday, then killed his mother and himself in her room at the world-famous medical center, police said.

We'll likely never know the truth of the why, but there almost had to be some prior issue. Being it was Maryland and Baltimore, the guy wasn't legally carrying most likely. It wasn't a one off thing where he flipped I don't think. I think there was bad blood and he made his decision and planned his course of action.

It isn't all that unusual for family members to blame the doctor for their relative's condition, often with some justification. That doesn't excuse what the shooter did, but it makes it kinda sorta understanable.
