    Tragic story, indeed.
No, it means the school was not being occupied as a school at that time.

We use our schools often for training when school is not in session.

Many witnesses to the shooting, just sad.

The cop that did my CHL class, and is training my sweetie knew both involved. It sounds as thought the failure happened outside the training.

That is the only type of training gun any department should be using, whether sidearms or M4's they need to be readily identified

WHy in the hell wasn't he wearing body armor? I know LEOs around here always have it on when training, regardless of whether it's simunitions or the pellet type sim guns.

As a former LEO I can attest to just how foolish an officer can be. Many of us just assume they’re well trained professionals but in fact, they make the same mistakes as we do. When I entered LE I came in from the Army so I already had some training and experience. Still, I often shook my head when I observed some of my so-called instructors and senior officers handle their guns.

Agreed, there is no excuse for stupidity. This is very unfortunate for the officers family.
