I'm a New Jersey resident and this is the first I've heard about this.
Only the Lord only knows what had been going on in that home. Incrediably sad.

And anti-gunners whine as though the would-be murdering father should have been found out before he could do all that damage. The thing is, though, he wasn't a criminal at that moment. He was only "fair game" to be caught and stopped as a criminal AFTER he became one, and by then the murders were done and the match was lit. Hard to stop such a thing, from the outside looking in, notified minutes or hours later. About the ONLY way to stop such a thing is to be one of the intended victims and to refuse to go easily. If those bitching about "solutions" could come up with practical alternatives, I'm sure some would listen. But disarming victims ain't gonna do it. That'll only leave criminals as the only well-armed force in town ... all across the country.

I'm confused....What does the NJ gun law have to do with the domestic violence shooting of 14, 16 and 18 yr. old children as by their parent, who clearly has been mental and fell of the cliff into an 'abyss' (my new favorite word of the week via Biker) of insanity?

This is a very sad situation, and agreed with Brass...Only the Lord knows what horrors those boys endured within that home as prior.

i think the point he's trying to make is that NJ has some very stringent gun control laws, yet it failed to stop this tragedy..in other words, gun control does not stop crime!
