Mount Clemens-- Matthew Landry's family huddled and broke into sobs Friday as a Macomb County jury convicted a Flint teen of murdering the 21-year-old Chesterfield Township man in a violent crime spree.

Ihab Maslamani, 18, had no friends or family -- and his face remained emotionless -- as he listened to a jury foreman convict him on 18 felony counts, including murder, in Landry's death.




Prosecutors said Maslamani, along with Robert Taylor, 17, of Detroit killed Landry during an August 2009 crime spree that gained national media attention and rocked Macomb County.

Prosecutors said the pair carjacked Landry's green Honda Accord in the parking lot of an Eastpointe Quiznos on Aug. 9, 2009. Taylor is accused of acting as a lookout while Maslamani beat and shoved Landry into his own car. The teens allegedly held Landry captive for hours before shooting him in the head inside a burned-out house near Seven Mile and Gratiot in

I worry about my children everywhere they go. I have a daughter graduating HS , and is in the process of contemplating what college she may want to attend. I am dreading this:
Even if she goes to one miles away I'll worry;
AND if she commutes I'll still worry while shes en'route, and while there on campus.
