    I think MitchellCT recently posted something which is germane to this question of yours. This sort of fight isn't really about the drug. It is about money and territory and dealings gone bad with no way to resolve the dispute.

    These folks can't go to the police to complain that their stuff was stolen. They can't go to court and sue to get their money back. They can't sue because what they bought was adulterated.

    With no way to settle a dispute, violence is all that is left.

    Don't confuse the drug effects with the violence. It is unrelated. The violence is about getting a crude form of frontier justice outside of the judicial system.
