This is a discussion on Shots fired at the Pentagon within the In the News: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly forums, part of the The Back Porch category; http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/10/19/...red/index.html...
a) the Pentagon is so big it would be hard to miss
b) what kind of idiot would shoot at a hardened building
c) Maj. Chris Perrine, a public affairs officer for Defense Press Operations, said other temporary road closures may be necessary as police conduct their investigation.
Go Chris! I know that dude!
What did they seek to accomplish?
Makes no sense. I wonder if they'll try to frame a tea partier, since it is getting close to election time and all.
2 out of 5. sounds like it was the backdroup to a seperate shooting.
Waste of ammo.

Could have been someone demonstrating how he could hit the blind side of a barn with his gangster style shooting skills...only in this case it was the blind side of the pentagon?

"Sure, As long as the machines are workin' and you can call 911. But you take those things away, you throw people in the dark, and you scare the crap out of them; no more rules...You'll see how primitive they can get."
Not to be a conspiracy theorist but what if someone did it to see what kind of a response it would cause and how much time for a response.
When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.
"Don't forget, incoming fire has the right of way."
I find that statement to be incredulous. over 17 miles of just hallways...not to mention all of the spaces and hidey holes. Anyone that has really been in the inner workings there know what I mean! The incident prompted a 40-minute shutdown of the entire Pentagon, and authorities conducted an interior sweep of the building shortly after 6 a.m.

Not sure if it's a coincidence but someone fired several bullets into the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico VA the night before the Pentagon shooting. The Pentagon and the museum are probably 25 miles apart.
Coincidence? I think not.
