    a) the Pentagon is so big it would be hard to miss
    b) what kind of idiot would shoot at a hardened building
    c) Maj. Chris Perrine, a public affairs officer for Defense Press Operations, said other temporary road closures may be necessary as police conduct their investigation.

Go Chris! I know that dude!

Makes no sense. I wonder if they'll try to frame a tea partier, since it is getting close to election time and all.

Could have been someone demonstrating how he could hit the blind side of a barn with his gangster style shooting skills...only in this case it was the blind side of the pentagon?

Not to be a conspiracy theorist but what if someone did it to see what kind of a response it would cause and how much time for a response.

The incident prompted a 40-minute shutdown of the entire Pentagon, and authorities conducted an interior sweep of the building shortly after 6 a.m.
I find that statement to be incredulous. over 17 miles of just hallways...not to mention all of the spaces and hidey holes. Anyone that has really been in the inner workings there know what I mean!

Not sure if it's a coincidence but someone fired several bullets into the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico VA the night before the Pentagon shooting. The Pentagon and the museum are probably 25 miles apart.

    Coincidence? I think not.

bad idea, because if anything now security will be increased and response time decreased. surprise is always better than testing the waters.
