    You did read it correctly,,

    From article;

    The 36-year-old man, who is married with a 9-year-old daughter, was out with another woman and her 5-year-old son at the time of the shooting.

    The wife said she has not visited her husband in the hospital because he has received death threats from the would-be carjackers family.

    Underlined above.
    I sure wish there was a way to keep the knuckledraggers hoodlum kin from further victimizing this guy, by way of threats and so on.
    Wire tap his phone, patrol his neighborhood, and so on.
    These pukes get mad when one of their scum-of-the-earth relatives does something criminal, and now they want to further antagonize the victim.

    These thugs have run the city for too long, . The police need to be cut loose of all this PC BS. and do their job effectively.

    The article has been updated since OP and some of the early posters commented. It now explains that the man defending the 5 y.o. was out with his GF and her son, along with his own 9 y.o. daughter. BG's family may be the least of his worries...

    Yeah. The comment on death threats from the criminal's family shot my blood pressure up. I cannot fathom the logic running through the perp's family's putrid minds. Some animals just need to be put down.

    To me, death threats against the victim from the BG's friends & family = hunting license. Bag limit = number of calls made to GG.

    So was he cheating or divorced/separated? Not that it matters to the shooting. Unless the shooter was involved... As the revolver turns?
