Man Attacked by Witchcraft Opens Fire on Neighbor's "Voodoo" House in Self-Defense

A 57-year-old resident of the town of Nitro, W.VA, Joel Marshall Turley, told police that he opened fire on a neighbor's home because it was a house of Voodoo Black Magic, and he was being attacked by Witchcraft.

Because he felt that his life was being threatened, Turley fired 14 shots from his rifle from the back porch of his mother's home into his neighbor's house. Turley, who collects disability and lives with his 82 year old mother, claimed self-defense in the shooting.

Arrresting officers noted that Turley appeared to be mentally unsound.

Turley remains in jail being held on a $100,000 bond. Police consider him to be a danger to the community.

Checks and balances apply to the gov't........not citizens.

I am not for "prior restraint" of rights...one should not have the "prove" they are GG....why? Because it is evident that BGs continue to get guns regardless of the "checks and balances"...and that people who are GGs sometimes do bad things...thus, making them BGs. Punish due to behavior--not because of fear of what someone might do.
