You'll get a kick out of this

    http://www2.tbo.com/content/2010/oct...news-breaking/

A sword-wielding man tried to rob three people in the middle of the night in Town 'N Country early this morning but failed to get any of the money, drugs or car keys he demanded.

The man began his string of ill-fated robbery attempts about 3:30 a.m., when he approached a man at the garbage dumpsters in the middle of Beacon Isles Apartments, 6210 Sheldon Road, with a metal sword, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokesman Larry McKinnon. He held the sword to the man's throat and demanded drugs and money.

Failing to get either, the man ran off and, near the front of the complex, approached another man in the parking lot, lifted his shirt to show an automatic pistol in his waistband and demanded money and the man's car keys, McKinnon said.

The ruckus was loud enough to wake a man sleeping in a nearby car, who yelled out, "Be quiet or I'll call 911," McKinnon said.

That drew the would-be robber to the car, which he started banging on with his sword. The man in the car, now fully awake, locked the car doors and refused to open them. The attacker stuck his sword through a partially open window, stabbing at the man inside and cutting him on his right shoulder, forearm and left palm. The man refused medical help for minor cuts.

Unable to get the man to open the car doors or give him money, the man with the sword ran off.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.

I'd have loved to see the BG's face if any of these victims had been armed!

Sooner or later (sooner is preferred), Mr. Swordman will meet Mr. Glock.
