    Cameras don't equal protection

Why Cameras don't equal protection for you and your family:

The Billingses had 16 cameras around their home, set up to keep tabs on the nine special-needs children for whom they cared. There was no camera in the master bedroom, but prosecution witnesses Wednesday cited DNA tests as showing that Gonzalez likely handled the rifle used in the fatal shootings.

    Hopefully this link works...

they provided for excellent evidence after the fact...while cameras will not make you safer unless you use them properly.... knowing you will be caught for your crimes can be a deterrent as well

Only for the weak minded and non-determined criminal.

Actually cameras are a GREAT Defense!

They give you time to get your weapos ready!!!!!!

With all that investment in cameras, I'm wondering why he didn't have an alarm that signaled the police and woke him up in time to prepare for a fight for his life.
I understand that having special needs children means extra precaustions in the placement and storage of his firearms, but
why not an alarm to give him time to get the secured life savers.

Heck, even I have an signal alarm on my driveway that lets me know when vehicles are approaching the house.
And I don't even keep $100,000 in my safe.

My motion detectors lighting help with any movement close to the house.

Just doesn't make sense when living in a big house in Florida.

Only an idiot would think a person would keep 13 million cash in their home.
Maybe Drug Dealers, and they aren't going to give it up without a gun fight.
What have you done to prepare for the end of civilization as we know it?

I didn't say it always will, but I think some perps will think twice if they know they are being watched. but yeah, if you are using the camera properly you may be lucky enough to see trouble coming and dig in before the invasion.

These cameras were not for security, but to moniter the special needs children at the location.

I would hazard that most cameras are for deterrence and for evidentiary value and return of stolen property.

I doubt that most of the upper echelon of society that have "security" cameras would even want to deal with the fact that there might be people planning to savage and murder them. For the ones that accept the possibility, I suspect that an armed contingent would supplement the cameras.

Sounds like an interesting story. Why would he think there was millions and then only find $100,000? I wonder if the police are looking into the money laundering. Either way, after the execution of 2 in front of their children, these guys should get the death penalty for sure.

Jury recommends the death penalty. Unfortunately this fella doesn't have anything to be afraid of. He has 30+ years of good living to look forward to.

We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.
