3 deputies shot in hostage situation

    http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/crim...tuation?hpt=T2

3:13 p.m. Deputies Chad Brown and Sam Parker have both been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputy Jeremy Cassidy is still at Sacred Heart Hospital, in critical condition.

12:23 p.m. Ted Roy with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said the deputies were initially responding to a call of a home invasion at a home on Baywind Circle. When they got there, they realized it was a domestic dispute.

Roy said a man was trying to break into the home. A woman was inside the home, which she rents.

The woman was shot more than one time.

Authorities say the man shot at the deputies, hitting three of them. They fired back, stiking him at least once.

The SWAT team was called in, and members were able to convince the man to drop the gun into the toilet. Once the gun was in the toilet, the SWAT team was able to get the woman out of the home.

Roy then said they went to get the man out of the home.

The three deputies were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Although LifeFlight was called to the scene, no one was taken by air to the hospital.

Authorities said the man and woman were in a relationship.
We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

It never occurred to me to keep my gun in the toilet. Did they think it would get waterlogged and not fire? Wrong answer!

I use to hate domestic calls as they usually ended with someone doing something crazy. I still have a few scars on my arms and hand from that sort of thing'. This one gal bit the piss out of me and told me that I couldn’t hit a girl. Political correctness was more of a theory back in the seventies.

You hit that one right on the head Saber. Everthing would go ok until you started to take the offending individual away and then the complainant would change sides, I didn't want you to take them away!

I agree. As I have said befor, domestics are snake pits.
The account is so poorly written it is difficult to visualize any kind of chronology and location of the events.
The perp plugs three cops right off the bat, obviously someone to be reckoned with.
