Good: Gutsy but not a very good move. Store clerk fights back in Gaston hold-up
Gaston, N.C. — In an effort to capture a would-be robber, Gaston police this week released surveillance video of an attempted convenience store hold-up in which the store clerk fought back.
The robbery happened Nov. 2 at the Gaston Food Mart, 105 N. Bay St., when, police say, a masked man wielding a sawed-off shotgun walked into the store around 10 p.m.
Almost immediately, surveillance video inside the store shows, the store clerk behind the front counter, approached the gunman, reached for the gun’s barrel, and forced the robber outside the store.

Grabbing the barrel of the criminal’s shotgun is bold but a good way to become a statistic.

That clerk was very close to death...either the gun was inoperative or unloaded...not good!

Or the robber didn't actually have the minerals to use it.

Call me a sissy, but he'd have gotten all the money. Unless I was armed and could get good shots at him. I wouldn't want to wake up a shotty!

This.
He did not at all appear to be whole hearted into the job.
Like many people, he probably figured that having the gun would be a talisman toward compliance.

I'm with you! Unarmed and w/o body armor I'm not walking up to the barrel of a shotgun.
