Buy a Truck, Get a Free AK-47
An Florida used car dealership is making this offer...
Nations Trucks, located at 3700 S. Orlando Drive in Sanford, kicked off the promotion on Veterans Day.
General sales manager Nick Ginetta said the promotion will run until the end of the month. He said anyone who purchases a truck will receive a $400 voucher to a local gun store. He said customers will have to go through the application process and qualify under state and federal laws. Ginetta said any buyers who don't want a gun will be given cash.

Sweet. They give away season passes to the ski resorts around here. I've already got one...so I'd gladly take that incentive.

Other car dealer did something similar for a while ago; if a do not remember wrong the customer got a shotgun.

As with any sales pitch.....they work the odds.
Of those who will fully qualify for the deal......and $400 won't exactly buy you a good AK47 these days.
The economy sucks now. Plain and simple. I've seen a business owner standing on the street corner every day of the week on my way home from work saying "buying gold now".
Read the fine print or ask for it before they reel you in.

I'd rather they just take $400 off the total. No need to pay interest on a firearm purchase over 5 years.

This dealer is only about 2 miles from me. I think $400 off is an option.

Yea, you could take $400 off. I'd rather take the $400 off the price as well. But like most other dealer promotions, it's really just a way to get you into the showroom.
Sort of like that guaranteed gas at X price thing Jeep/Chrysler did a while back. Ultimately, it doesn't cost the company that much - they just won't give you the matching discount on the purchase price of the vehicle. A lot of people don't think long term, though, and so things like this continue to work. It's also why you see people taking out 60+ month loans just for a car!
