Burglars Crash Car Into Gun Shop
Gun thieves used a car as a battering ram to break into a Lexington gun store early Thursday morning.
Police say the burglars drove the stolen vehicle into Sling Point Firearms on East New Circle Road around 2:45 a.m. Surveillance video from inside the store show three men snatching guns from the walls and smashing display cases. The burglars got out of the store with eight weapons.
Police brought in a K-9 to try to track the suspects. The dog lost the scent, but officers say they did recover three guns. One of the weapons recovered apparently was not from the store and six are still missing.
Investigators say they are looking for three possible suspects all between the ages of 18 and 25. Two wore hoodies and the other had dreadlocks.
The owner of Sling Point Firearms is Scott Bond, the husband of Daniela Gaskie, the former Miss Kentucky Latina who pled guilty to assault charges on Wednesday.

A couple of the gun stores around here have concrete barricades in front of their stores.
ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

Hopefully these criminals will break into the wrong shop.
A few years back, a 'crew' tried that at a gun shop in the Gainesville area. The owner lived behind the shop and was notified of the break-in by a silent alarm.
The dirtbags found out that he had a machine gun, and he opened up on them. Most did not survive...he was not charged.
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

There are bollards and those conrete barrier things in front of my LGS. You're not going to drive into the front of the store.
