Bad: compliance doesn't work.
Story link
Kossuth County Attorney Todd Holmes said during a news conference in Algona that Swanson walked into the Crossroads Gas Station on U.S. Highway 18 in Algona just after 9 p.m. Monday wearing a ski mask and demanded cash and cigarettes from the clerk, 47-year-old Vicky Bowman-Hall. She complied with the request, but Swanson shot her anyway and she died at a nearby hospital, Holmes said.
About an hour later, Swanson walked into a Kum and Go convenience store in Humboldt, about 30 miles south of Algona and shot and killed Sheila Myers, 61, who died at the scene, Holmes said.

Very sad, and angering. This 17-year-old threw away three lives; unfortunately the one that really deserves to be taken is the only one which wasn't.
s for me in this case, I'll appear to comply until I have an opportunity to take the fight to them.

Here are some good shots of the "remorseful" clean-cut young man. Doesn't look any different from any other 17 YO kid... if it weren't for the stripes in the lead photo, you'd think he was saying hi to friends on his way into class.

These towns that he hit in Iowa are rural... about 5000 poulation. Anywhere, any time, any body.
Compliance is not an option.

Sadly we'll pay for him to hang around in a warm jail cell for years.

Sad stories. I believe my views are known on relying on the benevolence of criminals.

Safety is your number one concern the report says. These two ladies thought that their safety was assured because they (or atleast one of them) complied. This is quite pathetic. He looked pretty happy about murdering two women in cold blood that never did anything to him. He is being charged as an adult. Yippi, that means he gets to go to the big boys prison. You know what they'll do to him!
He deserves everything he gets and then some.
Personally, I think they should take him out into the town square and hang him.
