    AMHERST - A man at a Hobart Lane home who was trying to scratch his nose with the barrel end of a BB gun accidentally shot himself in the face Monday night.

    Police responded to the residence at 8:52 p.m. after the man, sitting on a bed and watching a movie, discharged a pellet up his right nostril...

    Note: The police are wrong.
    The injury occurred because the man is an idiot and _mishandled_ the device.
    I am scheduled to have a business meeting at 10A with the Amherst Chief of Police, as well as his lead Det. Sgt., and I am going to be sure to mention this incident and my assessment.
