Good: Gun goes off killing suspect during robbery

Note to armed robbers: consider the occupational hazards

    From http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region...-store-robbery

PHOENIX - Police say a jewelry store robbery suspect fatally shot his partner Friday in Phoenix.

Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said two men entered the Joyeria Princess jewelry store around 10:15 a.m., then a third entered the store. As the owner was showing the first two men some jewelry, they pulled out handguns and jumped over the counter to where the victim was standing.

Thompson said as the store owner tried to keep the suspect's gun away from him he pulled out his own gun.

As the fight was going on and the two struggled over the two weapons, the second suspect appeared to be getting into a position to shoot the victim. That's when the first suspect's gun fired, striking and killing the second suspect. Police said it was unclear if the third suspect had a weapon.

The sheriff said that the owner shot the dirtbag.

It would not seem that difficult, by ballistic process of elimination, to determine who/which gun killed the susp if they have the slug that killed him. If it does not match the jeweler's gun it was the susp's gun that killed him.

And now the poor shop owner has to deal with having some dirtbag's blood on his hands because they thought it would be easier to take than to earn.
