That's terrible. How anyone can hurt children is beyond my ability to comprehend. Some people apparently have no more regard for human life than viscious animals. It's just shocking.

An 'ex' or really a by chance home invasion?
"There are a lot of home invasions out here," Sandra Smith said.

We certainly have home invasions here in Gainesville that are NOT drug related.
People are not safe in their own homes. More individuals need to arm themselves and get some training.

Looks to be a nice neighborhood (not a slum). Whatever type of animal that would do this to a family period, much less innocent 6 year old girls and an even younger boy, needs to caught and anything less than death is not acceptable.

Looks like the people in this neighborhood need to catch on, and start arming themselves.

We really need to look at how we are dealing with criminals in this country and start making examples out of some of them for the rest of them that may be thinking about turning to a life of crime.

This doesn't sound like a typical home invasion gone bad. Who would kill two 6-year-olds and a 3-year-old? 99.9% of burglars would never stoop that low.

While that was true in the past, I'm seeing more and more reports like this. I don't think it's quite so true anymore.

Sounds seriously fishy to me. Just my opinion. Nice house...single, stay at home mom can afford that? The twins and son had different fathers. She herself had step-siblings. Her step brother from out of state just happened to be on sight? Found that very odd.

New details have emerged. She had just secured child support payments, plus back payments, from both fathers. The father of the twins has been in and out of prison for the last decade or so, violent criminal. She's also got a criminal past, including aggravated battery or something. The kids, however, didn't do a d*** thing.
