Story Update: Click Link on 1st post to view video....

The Homeowner shot the masked intruder after being shot in the arm in his living room with the first shot of the BG's weapon. When he returned fire he missed with his 1st shot but found his mark with the second volley from his shotgun as the Gunman ran toward the door.. The BG was in the process of stealing the Homeowners Guns when discovered by the Homeowner who had been alerted by his barking dogs of a problem.
Both men were armed with shotguns.

Now here's the weird and sad part.
The Bad Guy was the Homeowners own Step Son! The young man had already been in trouble for threatening his Step Father months before with a Gun.
Apparently the boy knew his stepfater had weapons and decided to steal them.

The Identity was not discovered until the Sheriffs Department arrived and pealed back the dead gunmans mask.
Video has 911 tape of the call.
Sheriff does not think there will be any charges against the Homeowner.

    Interesting development, but sad.

I once met my 19 year old Step Son coming in late in my hallway at 2 am in my skivies and armed with my 45.
Step Son promised to never come in late without calling out and identifying himself again.
He said it was because he never wanted to see me in my skivies again. :)
What have you done to prepare for the end of civilization as we know it?

Very sad that it ended that way, I hope the homeowner can get past what I'm sure will end up being a much more difficult situation to come to grips with.

    WoW!!!!!!!!

    His own stepson.

Wel, He's the Idiot who fired the first round, Good for the homeowner.
Wonder if this may put a "strain" on his relationship with his wife.?

That young man must have been very very stupid. He broke into his own stepfather's house to raid his gun arsenal. Of course he was going to be shot and killed.

I am almost sure it will put a strain on his relationship with his wife. I had a girlfriend once that got upset with me for not giving her $4000 to bail her son out of whatever he had gotten himself into, and yes she would not give any reasoning for what the money would be used for, I eventually got rid of her because if they will do that and you are not even married to them what do you think they would do if they have your last name. Some of these women will uphold whatever there sons will do right or wrong and it can cause a family mess if you are married to them, I know of a couple of situations just like the one I just mentioned and I do not mess with them or it or whatever you want to call it.

I especially like the part where the Homeowner said on the 911 tape that his shotgun jammed on him, so he beat the BG with it.
Too bad he didn't know it was dear Kenneth under that mask. He might just left him with the pellets in his head.

I too dated a few of those women BigPoppa. And learned to run away rather than try and help them.
Some relationships are more work than they are worth.
Luckly I found a keeper and we just celebrated 13 years together. Her son and I get along better than I do with my own kids.
But SS is a gearhead like me and my son is a Pastor.

My prayers go out to the Homeowner, may he recover quickly with the ability to put this behind him. As for the perp, may he rot in hell.
