    We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

    What are teenagers doing running around with guns in the first place. Where's their parents at? Seems when they turn a certain age, they go from being a kid/young teenager to a thug. Well I hope they find them.

    Angry

    "Two groups of teenagers". How bout a couple of rival gangs just like at so many other malls across this nation. If I need to go to the mall it is usually done before noon on a week day when these groups of thugs are still at home in bed sleeping it off from the night before. Sad commentary to the way it is in this country and no area is immune from this activity.

    Where are the parents?
    They are as afraid of these thugs as most of the rest of the population. I have seen them do evil things to their parents as quickly as to strangers.

    Not at the mall. A disturbing number of parents apparently think it is acceptable to drop off their minor children at Walmart or the mall for several hours, unattended, as some sort of free babysitting service. I don't get it.

    Agreed. Noticed this as I was at the mall this weekend. Can't think of going to a mall or Walmart without being armed.

    I wouldn't go anywhere in or around Detroit unarmed.

    Why not saying “two different gangs” instead of ”two groups of teenagers?

    And they deserve every bit of the bad press because they have worked hard to earn it. I e-mailed the mall manager to verify my suspicions. I asked if the mall was posted as a gun free zone. Here is the answer I received;

    Mr. XXXX,
    Yes, we have rules and regulations signage posted at all of our entrances and one of the first rules is “no guns or weapons allowed”
    Thank you for your concern.

    So they put up a "no guns" sign which disarms their honest patrons. Since they do nothing to enforce their regulation, they then leave their patrons helpless in the face of armed assailants. In my mind the mall management has earned a huge lawsuit.

    What one of Gecko 45’s protégées didn’t rappel down and shoot both groups guns out of their hands with his Glock.

    Obviously something needs to be done to make these signs more visible. Maybe some blinking lights on them or something? Maybe they could put some good looking females on the signs and then the teenagers would notice them better. These are just a couple of ideas that I just came up with off the top of my head. I mean, how hard is it?
