I disagree. Give them the Scottish clan feud treatment.

What does one have to infer here?

No one was injured in the blaze and it didn't damage any worship areas, just one room, but officials say it's an example of the anger felt in the aftermath of a foiled terror attack at a Christmas tree lighting in Portland Oregon Friday night.
What does one have to infer here? I think, in short time we as a nation will prove if we are indeed superior to the national socialist movement of the 1930's or scenes like this one are going to be the norm, we already know the results of such bigotry.

The vast majority of WWII veterans who fought this same type of madness have passed already, what an irony indeed, that we could become that which we hate the most.

In short, I know we can fight this crazy ideologies with intelligence, rational thinking, which by contrast sits on the opposite side of passionate response.

On hindsight, all this could prove that our educational system is failing us and our kids miserably if we are behaving like animals, we all know already how the enemies of our country have educational programs worth nothing, therefore their lack of conscience.

Where knowledge is absent, fanaticism abounds, (which by the way is only acceptable in sports since none really knows the outcome of any game).

If I was in charge of education I would make it sure that every child in our nation has access to food schooling and furthermore a superior education, FREE!!!!

We can certainly ascertain the price of a pound of steak, but we should never accept to put a price on education and the future of our nation.

While I agree burning a building (barely) doesn't do any good, trying to reason with and coddle these people will do no good either.

You all are assuming it was a "retaliation" act: Since it damaged nothing of importance and that damage was minor; how about an inside job to jen up additional federal protection/preferential treatment and making Americans look bad????????? Beyond possibility?? Naw, nothing like that has ever been done before.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_Fire_Decree

Sink to their level? I dont see it that way. This is more than a war of ideaology. We did not start this. The Muslims cry foul when something like this happens, but will not take a stand against it when it is perpetrated against us. You can not have it both ways. Until the Muslim world rises up and marches in the streets denouncing terror, I think they are all in it. They didnt denounce the world trade center attacks, they do not mourn the loss of our service members coming home in caskets for a cause that includes their sorry asses. They enjoy the milk and honey of our nation and reap the benefits of our sacrifices, but do not stand with us. To hell with them and their mosque. We need to get a grip that this is way beyond simple religous beliefs. Until they denounce terroristic attacks on our people, I could care less. If we dont sink lower than them, we lose. Its a fight, a war, its ugly and thats how you win. The only reason we have not won is because the people of this country do not have the stomach for what should be done.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was an act of retribution for the Pioneer Square plot, but I consider it a reprehensible act. An indiscriminate act of violence against a place of worship? That's the kind of cowardly thing the war on terror is being fought against! NOT ok.

Some days I wish we could just have all the extremists, hardliners, and general religious pains that want to dictate there life style and morals on others, enter a ring with each other where they all kill each other off. Leave the world to the atheists, moderates, and agnostics.

Hopefully the FBI and the reward will get to the bottom of it and whomever is responsible will be sent to prison for a long time.

Western religions, Eastern religions, a religious extremist is a religious extremist. Most people that are hardliners and radicals do seem to come from western religions though. The Sikh’s come to mind first as Eastern religious terrorists.

I don't recall Jews chanting "death to Germany" in 1938. I must have missed that newsreel along with the one where they were flying planes into Berlin buildings. I'm also not familiar with any part of the Torah that talks about subjugating non-believers, performing honor killings, or being allowed to lie to an "infidel."

The comparison between this and Kristalnacht is apples and monkey wrenches.

This appears to advocate the death of all those who don't think like you. Welcome to the club of extremists and hardliners.

Appologies in advance for the long rant.......

While it does appear that someone has stooped to the level of the terrorists, I can see this is not really retribution, but out frustration.

We are frustrated that "peaceful" Muslims seldom cry out in anger when Islamic terrorists act, they simply ignore them or say they are not true Muslims. They want to tie our hands, but let those of the terrorist loose to do things at will.

We are frustrated that perpetrators of Islamic terror are allowed into our country, given all the benefits that our freedom has to offer and then, they turn on us as if we are no more than dogs under their feet. The lack of gratitude with the followers of Islam when it comes to freedom to worship in our country is appalling. They should be routing out terrorists by the hundreds, but mostly they get protection at Mosques and other places.

We are frustrated the terrorists have free reign over us and we cannot respond in kind without being labled worse than terrorists. It seems ok for them to continue at will to terrorize, yet when something like this Mosqe attack happens, all of a sudden it is condemned by everyone.

I'd say that we are frustrated.
