How much time do you think I would be doing if I admitted to shooting and killing 2 people who were "running away over the bridge even though they did not appear to have weapons or pose a threat to officers...."
    Just sayin.

    as was I.
It would seem, from reading the story, that you don't have to threaten the police to end up getting killed by them. And say the police make a "mistake" --- 8 years for 2 murders??? Really?
Either somethin is not adding up right with this story, as BikerRN and others said, or else it's a terrible injustice for the people killed. Of which I'm not sure.
But cop or not, why would you ever kill someone who you admitted was not a threat??
I certainly don't want someone who makes deadly mistakes and doesn't even have to pay the price for them coming to my aid.

There can be some dirty cops, overly aggressive or incompetent ones but that doesn't mean they're all bad. Most are great who mean to do society justice and maintain order but as all of us on the forum subscribe to the idea of self protection, we know they can't always be around to protect us at all times.

That being said, in this case it appears that some dirty cops got off way to easy for their heinous crimes.
