Good: Shop Worker Shoots Suspect; Man Wanted In Recent Area Crimes
Police Arrest 2 Men In Auto Shop Robbery
I love this kind of story.
DETROIT -- Detroit police say they’ve arrested two suspects who attempted to rob an auto repair shop on the Detroit-Ferndale border.
The attempted robbery happened Tuesday night at the Precision Tune Auto Shop on 8100 block of West 8 Mile Road near Livernois Avenue.
Police said a male suspect tried to hold-up the shop, but a shop worker turned the tables on the suspect, whipping out a gun and shooting the suspect multiple times.
The suspect fled the scene in a waiting car, police said.
Minutes later, the suspects were located at Carlita Avenue and Schaefer Highway, where they were involved in an accident with another vehicle, police said.
Police soon arrived on the scene and said they took two male suspects into custody.
Police said the suspect who was shot by a shop worker was taken to the hospital.
According to police, the attempted robbery suspect is wanted in connection with other recent crimes in the area.
We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

Too bad the shop worker wasnt' a better shot.
Clearly the police were not protecting the citizens, since this guy was already wanted for other crimes, so I am glad that one citizen was able to defend himself and stop who knows how many more future crimes.

Seriously! Multiple hits and the BG still makes it back to the car? Shop owner needs to get to the range.

There you go . . a fine example of why a person should be allowed to carry at work. (won't criticize his markmanship-never personally experienced 'that stressful moment'.)

all the bulseye experts think the shop owner was just standing still with a gun pointed at him while he took carefully aimed shots at the thief?...even with good hits a person can go surprizingly far before succumbing to wounds...this isnt television...

There's another lesson here. You're driving down the street minding your own business when suddenly you're involved in a car crash. The occupants of the other car are fleeing an armed robbery and have a wounded man in the car. Like the Boy Scouts say, Be Prepared! This is happening more and more, you never know when you will get crashed into a meeting with bad people.
