Bad news indeed, and very sorry for the family.
But so far this does seem a little odd: just a random, walk up to a guy and shoot him?
I'm in favor of gun control -- I think every citizen should have control of a gun.

Could have been a gang initiation shooting. Just picked this guy out of the blue because he had to shoot someone to 'prove' himself.
Either way, it has me considering how to defend against something like this. Even if you're aware of your surroundings, just passing another guy going into/out of a shop to get a cup of coffee isn't likely to trigger a situational warning. Otherwise we'd be jumping at shadows constantly.
there is no defense for it other than boarding yourself up in your home...there are many opportunities to harm people without warning...thats life...
Comments are entertaining too. I'm sure it was a gang "hit" or some type of retaliation from some fight, shorting one on drugs, deal gone bad earlier etc.etc.
Coulda been road rage, too.
A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
This doesn't sound like a random shooting...I'm just sayin'...![]()
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."
