I hope the store owner recovers soon.

I don't think that this is the right forum for this thread to be in but good story nonetheless.
I too hope the store owner recovers quickly and completely. What was that website again that was tracking the number of deaths caused by firearms ?? Maybe someone should send this to them to show them firearms saved 2 lives here. God Bless![]()

A website tracking deaths caused by autos would be a lot more active. My guess is these BGs learned the hard way that we're not all willing to be victims.

There another thread here about this in "in the news" section. Still was a great job by the store owner!

That fellow really did a good job of cleaning the Gene Pool. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
Its a shame that youth is wasted on the young.
Gotta love a perfect 3 for 3 ... that's what I call "gun control"! Sorry he took one in the process & I pray for a speedy recovery. 1100+ comments on the local story article in just over 24 hours makes for fun reading. A new Texas Hero has just emerged.![]()
Asked by a CNN reporter "What do you feel when you shoot a terrorist"?, the Marine sniper simply shrugged & replied "recoil".

He took more than one. He was shot on the shoulder, stomach and legs. Didn't even noticed until he came back out from outside the store after checking to see if there were more BG's outside.

Texas officials have identified these dead armed robbers as being illegal aliens from Honduras. Foreign identification was found on them. And U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has no record of them legally entering the country.
The men travelled all the way from Honduras, to seek their fortune here in the United States. Instead of getting rich, however, they are all now dead.
Police have also identified the men as being part of an organized gang that has been terrorizing Spanish speaking businesses in Houston. The members of this gang can only speak Spanish.
The really sad part of this story is that the store owner Ramon Castillo, 52, an American citizen of Mexican ancestry, suffered a total of 3 gunshot wounds from the robbers, and remains in extremely critical condition in the hospital. It is uncertain at this point if he will survive the shooting or not. If he should die, then this will become a true tragedy.

It's better to have it when you need it then need it and dont have it.
Wow, what a violent place this part of Houston must be.
There was another robbery attempt on the very same city block on Saturday, only a few hundred feet from this robbery and shootout!! What are the odds of that happening???
In the Saturday incident, a store owner was just outside his store, on the way to the bank to make a deposit. A car drove up, and a bandit jumped out and tried to grab the cash from the store owner.
However, the store owner was carrying, and immediately shot the robber multiple times. The criminal died later at a local hospital.
I guess that being a robber in Houston is dangerous work.
Here below is a news report about this new failed robbery, and successful concealed carry defense. In this case, the store owner was fortunately unharmed.

Here is a very detailed video report about this failed Jewelry store robbery, with a lot more follow up. This gang had been terrorizing Latino stores in the neighborhood, and the whole Latino community is now calling the store owner a hero for stopping the gang's reign of terror.
There is also good news that he seems to be doing well in recovering from his gunshot wounds.
