The good old, "I was high on crack" defense...
Man claims self-defense in shooting
According to jail documents, Kenneth Flowers, 33, said he was smoking crack at a friend's apartment at 1810 S. Main on Dec. 18 when two individuals entered the apartment and one man within the apartment displayed a gun.
Flowers — who has been arrested for investigation of aggravated murder in the shooting death of 45-year-old Cisco Cross — told police he fired "in self defense" because he believed that he had been set up and that "the people were going to kill him," the redacted jail document states.
Flowers said he had "been smoking a lot of crack" in the day leading up to incident.
