Stupid boy and his toy! Bank robbery gone bad.
Here in Stuart, FL, a guy and his girlfriend robbed a bank at gunpoint. During the ensuing hi-speed chase, the guy points the gun at the Chief of Police and his assistant, both involved in the pursuit. Gunfire erupts, girl is shot dead by LEOs, and guy is wounded and arrested. The gun in question turns out to be a Glock-imitation toy gun, complete with orange muzzle.
C-o-P says on interview, point a gun--real or not--at police officers and you can expect to be shot.
Dumb BG is currently awaiting trial, in jail, on $800,000 bond. Good luck raising that!

I wish Mayor Bloomberg would wake up a little. Why not change the law. Caught with Illegal gun 10 years in jail first time offenders and make it easier for law abiding people to carry.

If this is the same story I heard about, the now-deceased female bank robber had no previous record.

But wait! Cops scream whenever someone paints over an orange tip because they might shoot an innocent child. You can't have it both ways!

Either ways its dumb on the BG's part, 1. to rob a bank and 2. to point a gun weather real or not at anybody especially law enforcement

Yea they hit a bank in my neck of the woods before heading to Florida. All I have to say is don't do stupid things and expect good results.

And then there are people who put orange tips on real guns.

Well, the girl won't be robbing anymore banks, and they guy likely won't feel up to trying that again, if he ever makes it out of prison.
I'd say it all ended as well as could be expected.

Well, I guess it just proves that you have to be stupid to be a crook!
