Store clerk shoots 2 robbers

Joe Alley, 59, shot two suspects wearing black hoods and coats as they tried to rob his business. Both men are hospitalized, one of them is in serious condition. The men tried to drive away and made it only a half mile to Interstate 430, where they called 911.
Hilarious that the bad guys had to call 911 for themselves!
This last little tidbit is interesting. Of course, they want us all to just curl up in the fetal position I suppose
Alley is not expected to be charged in the shooting but police say they do not recommend that store clerks shoot at robbery suspects.
While legally they may not be convicted yet, I think it's pretty far-fetched to call them "suspects" at this point. Sounds like they were straight up ROBBERS to me!

Sounds like the grocery store owner ended a crime spree along with defending his own life and property.
Good for him.

What's really sad is that bad guys would call 911 and give themselves up rather than tough it out and look for help elsewhere. Our criminal punishment system is too easy.

Baloney. You have a good shot, take it. Good on this guy!
We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

Interesting that so many here use the phrase "bad guys." Sounds like 2nd grade cops and robbers to me.
I prefer to call them what they are, criminals.

Criminals is too long of a word for us rednecks (speakin for myself here) "bad" is a short word and only one syllable, "guys" is a short word with only one syllable
