Bad: Man In Shootout With Police-Released By Mistake

An AZ man who was wounded in a shootout with AZ LEOs was released from jail on $320 bond. US marshalls and local police are searching for the perp.

PHOENIX -- Arizona authorities are searching for a shooting suspect who was mistakenly released from jail.

    .................................................. .................................................. ...

Perez is accused of shooting at Arizona Department of Public Safety officers outside a home in Casa Grande.

Perez was injured by gunfire, admitted to a Phoenix hospital for treatment and held in another county's jail before being turned over to the Pinal County.

But county authorities say they weren't notified of the warrant on Perez until Dec. 23 - a week after he was released from custody.

Good old AZ, apparently the perp did not look reasonable suspicious of being an illegal alien or they would have done a better job…

This was not the same guy, the reporting on this story was horrendous and inaccurate. Typical media not letting facts get in the way of a good story.

Not the same guy as whom? This guy was wounded in a shootout with AZ LEOs. He was later let out of jail by mistake.
