How did this shooting take place if guns are not allowed on campus? If they had been allowed, maybe the shooting victim could have protected himself and they might not have to look so hard for the shooter.

Wow, incredibly vague report.
The shooting reported in a campus building, then it turns out it was by some campus buildings, which could mean anything up to and including on the edge of campus property.Authorities were alerted at 11:51 a.m. about a shooting in a basic and applied science building located in a cluster of university structures.
"From what I understand, there were two men who got into an argument over by some of our buildings," Tozer said. "One shot the other in the hand, then took off."
Just enough to get the grass eaters panicked.
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!
IMO this wasn't a school shooting, but rather a shooting at a school. It looks like those involved knew each other and there was no connection to the school. Drug deal gone bad was my first impression.
From Channel 5 News report here last night.
"Police say Macklin is a current MTSU student. Morrow is a former student, but is not currently enrolled in classes. Investigators said the two knew each other previously, ran into each other on campus, and then got into an argument that quickly turned violent.
Morrow also toldNews Channel 5 he feels blessed to be alive. He said he and Macklin had met before because they are both from Memphis, but didn't know each other well. As for the reason behind their disagreement, Morrow said their two groups of friends just don't get along."
Does the word Gangs come to mind to anybody?
"As for the reason behind their disagreement, Morrow said their two groups of friends just don't get along."
Huh? Since when did college/university campuses turn into high schools? Sad.
