Asked why in his opinion straw-purchases of weapons should not have been allowed pending an investigation, Jordan said "because you are dealing with weapons that can kill the innocent, and in this case, our special agent."

The ATF was doing this so they can recover them, inflate statistics, then blame US gun shops and help promote gun control. What a shame

Another alphabet organization padding the stats to further justify its existence. Shameful

It seems to have backfired on them, with US agents dead. I am sure they will slither right out of accountability too. If not they will set up some field grade agent as the fall guy so the real people responsible in upper management get away scott free to continue their "Always Think Forfeiture" agenda

Just trying to go after their political agenda, even if it results in the death of innocents. They don't care about stopping guns or whatever they claim; only about achieving their political aims.

My buddy has a T-shirt that reads "Alcohol Tobacco Firearms should be the name of a convenient store not a government agency".

Well, this seems a bit contradictory...

According to Jordan, DEA’s policy is not to allow the movement of drugs, money or weapons unless it jeopardizes life or national security.
It would seem by allowing the movement, it will jeopardize life and national security (according to them).

Well, the ATF got what they wanted. They were able to trace 2 or more guns to the murders of US agents. Now lets see what Congress does about it.

Well, I guess that tragic death is the fault of all US Gun owners and the only right thing to do, morally, is to do whatever Obama says. </sarcasm> Oh, and let's not forget to tell our kids how US Liberty caused global warming. </sarcasm>

My sympathy goes out to the Agent and his family; another needless death caused by government incompetence.

    I don't believe it.
I find it hard to believe anything coming out of our government concerning guns, drugs, illegals, border or anything of the sort lately with the agenda their pushing. What I do find easy to believe is what ATF is doing in order to justify their existance and to push their anti-gun agenda. I can't help but adding though, that to me it sounds so stupid to hear ATF say that 'we are alowing guns to be illegally transported into Mexico in order that we may track them'. If true, who the heck would come up with such a stupid idea?
Just now I'm watching some guy from 'The Chertoff Group' saying that 'thousands of guns cross into Mexico daily from our side of the border'.
    I just don't believe it.
