A Moncks Corner man investigating a noise in his home found a burgler coming down the stairway carrying the homeowners long guns and ammunition. The homeowner, fearing for his life, shot and killer the robber. An accomplice escaped, but was captured within minutes by K9 officers. Police stated the homeowner would not be charged. I have actually been to Moncks Corner, SC.
My Nephew married a girl from there and we attended their wedding. It seemed like a peaceful quiet kind of town.
We all know however that crime has no boundaries and can happen any place at any time. At least the one guy won't be
doing any more home invasions. He was "fired" from his criminal career on a permanent basis.
