    Sorry to hear about your wife's grandpa, but it does sound like 'suicide by cop'.
    Hard to figures out one's travels in life sometimes.
    The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.

    Sorry for your families loss.

    It's a shame that although he wanted to die, that he forced an innocent person to pull the trigger, and now have to spend the rest of his life knowing he took a life. While LEO's know when they enter the field, they may be forced to shoot someone, it is something that will weigh on them the rest of their lives. Hopefully this LEO will be able to put it into proper perspective and not be too badly affected by it.

    The article says they tried to taze him first, even after he'd pointed a gun at them.
    That's admirable (maybe even stupid) restraint on their part.
