I sure wish the News Media would figure out that many of their stories go viral and start putting their State of coverage in their header.
A simple little "VA" abbreviation would do wonder for understanding.
We have the City of Roanoke TX near me and only 20 miles from that town is a Valley View Mall.
Actually, the Mall is in a neighboring city of Flower Mound so I was shocked to read the story headlines.

Then after I Googled the Hospital I confirm it, and as I suspected, that the incident was in Virginia.

My first thought was, Huh, Roanoke Police have no jurisdiction at the Valley View Mall??????

Probably not something out of reason to have this incident at our Valley View Mall.

I come to Roanoke several times a year to call on Advance Auto Parts. Their offices are located at the end of that shopping center.

I have to go to Roanoke a lot with my job...I'm always glad to see it in my rear view mirror as I head back to my little rural mountain town.

Mall parking lots are prime places for folks to become victims. I get that sense at WalMart/KMart type stores too, and also half of the gas stations around town. I suspect it'll get worse as times get harder, too.

I used to go to Roanoke to shop there on a weekend when I used to reside in Martinsville. Anything can happen these days. And I carry either a .40 or .45 everytime no matter where I am at, whether it's Hampton Roads, Central VA, or the Piedmont/SW VA area.
