She's his girlfriend and shoots him? Not my idea of a good choice. What if he'd have died, she will still probably be charged with attempted murder.

Sounds to me like neither of them expected it to actually penetrate. Still stupid, though he admits he knows the rules and broke them.

If you read the article they said if he had died she would have been charged with manslaughter because he was asking her to do it and she didn't want to.

There was no malicious intent and he was telling her to do it. It doesn't make it any less stupid but it's why they won't be charging her. I'm glad he survived and I hope it teaches them both a valuable lesson.

Is it a bullet or a pellet? The reporter indicates he was shot with a pellet gun, but then states "The bullet caused a blockage in the left anterior descending artery"....so which is it?

Please, oh please don't let this turn into a thread where someone asserts that pellet rifles are sufficient for self defense...

so he goes to F& Idiots University. for him its appropriate

    lets see--

    stupid should hurt

the gene pool needs more chlorine

a break barrel 'pellet' rifle with 'pointy bullets' almost goes through a 1" pine board
not a 1st choice for self defense; not even as fast to load as a rock but perhaps more accurate
if your defense situation involves squirrels
Be aware, be deliberate in your actions and be accurate.

Only if it was a regular dare, a double or triple dog dare would have excused her from all criminal negligence.

You really expect the press to get it right on a gun article???? I'm surprised they didn't call it an assualt weapon or glock.
