    Cool

I had a High Standard .22 magnum revolver years ago that held 9 rounds.

Good shooting on this poor victim's part, how terrifying. I hope this dirtbag suffered immensely before cashing in his chips."Welcome, Mr. Puentes, nice to see you."

"I should have shot him with the other one" She just wants him dead. rightfully so.

And the worst part is this scum bag's family is going to say "he really is a good kid, probably broke into her house with that knife to help her cut up some food and make dinner"

Atta girl! Way to keep your head and keep fighting!

I hope that the trauma passes quickly so that she has some peace.

This reminds me of a killing and rape here in Seattle about 2 yrs ago. A guy broke into a house where 2 women in their 30s lived. He had a knife. He raped at least one, then stabbed and killed one.

One man held 2 women with a knife. With a little planning ahead of time, instead of submitting in fear, these women probably could have escaped. He wasnt a commando, he was an ex-mental patient.

The woman in the story was prepared...esp mentally... and even without the gun might have escaped.

Oh and one more thing.... Do you think she had time to rack the slide? (assuming it was a semi auto) This story is an excellent example for the 'in chamber' folks...or the revolver folks. :)

I wonder if someone could get their hands on the autopsy report. Then have an expert look at the ballistics of those nine .22 LR rounds to find out what kind/brand of rounds they were and which one(s) were the coup de grace. Then, for those who carry a .22 can practice and concentrate on aiming/shooting at the critical area(s).
