it don't pay to fool with mother nature
seriously...we humans have a mind set, till you are hunted, that you are the hunter.
that you are top of the food chain, perhaps not the strongest in the world but my
smarts will have me to win every time. every time till the last time that misconception
proves its falsehood...perhaps too late to save ua.
even when you are in your comfort zone, you should give thought to possibilities,
what ifs. ua read about these strange happenings in the papers and on the news,
why do so many of us never connect to the concept that 'it could have been me'
i hope he recovers and has no lasting effecats...of course he will.
your mind can not turn off that event. it takes time to work through it.
whether by yourself or with the help of others; it takes time. even decades.
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.

Yepper, pretty messy. Lucky guy though all things considered. It could have just as easily been all over for him.
I lived in AK for 7 years, and I tend to laugh (to myself) as some in this forum talk about shooting a bear with a .45...Mmmmm, I wonder if it would even hurt the bear? Even if you have a more powerful weapon, practicing shooting while pooping...it's gonna' happen that way. Try shooting a brown 800lb blob running at you faster than a quarter horse. Now you may not even get a shot you were expecting as while you are hunting, the bear may circle around and hunt you.OMOYMV

"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."
