This happened in the neighborhood that my parents live in, where I lived from 10 years old until I was 20. Probably went to the same high school that is just down the road from the shooting. Horrible, hope they find out more of what happened and catch the shooter.

is this a bad neighborhood or one that is subject to high crime? Sounds like a crime of opportunity for the BG's looking for money.

No it really isn't a bad neighborhood, the community itself is like 10-15 years old now. Most of the shootings in Mesa are on the west side, this is about as far east Mesa as you can get.

    :(

I went to school with them. I graduated with them from Red Mountain High School in 2010. This is still a big shock to me and everyone who knew them. So sad :(

Thank you, very much. It's makes it even more sad because Tyler was a Pre-Med major and Olek (the driver) was majoring in biochemisty. They were smart, honest, loveable guys. Never did drugs, would never have done anything to hurt anyone, and they certainly wouldn't have done anything to provoke this.

Yeah it said they were in drug debt. Bad on them for doing drugs and getting into drug debt. Horrible situation though

Poorly written, but the other way around..... the shooter was the broker to sell drugs Wladyszewski had to someone else, who hadn't paid yet. Wlaydyszewski was the seller, not the buyer. In other words, they convinced him to give them the drugs, and then wouldn't pay up , and he decided to shoot him.... wa.. la .. don't have to pay him then.

Court paperwork shows Estopellan brokered a marijuana purchase from Wladyszewski two months ago, but the man who bought the pot hadn't paid yet and was threatening Estopellan.

As unfortunate as it is, this is another case of you reap what you sow.
